The Mijas Hipodromo, is a complex where you can enjoy some of the Costa del Sol's best horse racing and entertainment all in one night. With bars, restaurants and the rooftop terrace bar, live music and dj's entertaining you on each race night, the hipodromo is a great night out for all, fans of horse racing, or not!
The Hipodromo is open for 9 weeks during July and August every year, for the first 4 weeks the race nights are on a Saturday Night and the remaining 5 on a Friday. The Hipodromo opens it's gates at 9pm and the first race starts at 10pm, it's many bars and restaurants will keep you entertained, before and long after the races! You can also enjoy, traditional Spanish music and flamenco dancing, live singers in the Irish bar, a whole range of gastranomic delights, plus a licensed booking office, where you can make a "flutter" on the Horses!

The Mijas Hipodromo is only 30 km. from Málaga Airport towards the urbanisation "CERROS DEL AGUILA" in Mijas Costa. All the family are welcome, it is best to check the timetable with the Hipodromo, see the links to the website and Facebook Page, where information is also available in English.
As an addition to sports activities that take place in the Mijas Hipodromo an eight-lane Olympic Athletics Ground is in the centre of the tracks, including a gymnasium and a grass field. The area also has a seating capacity for one thousand viewers. The athletics ground has been floodlit to allow for the practice of sports at night time and is being used regularly by federated sportsmen and schools.
